An extraordinary time capsule of short films that provide context and an important, critical perspective, beyond the endless succession of sometimes gruesome livestream images we see daily.

Twenty-two Palestinian filmmakers present, in as many short films—across various genres such as documentary, fiction, animation, and even experimental video art—the situation in Gaza during the war between Israel and Hamas. Together, they depict the lives of people who are too often seen only as victims and provide a counterbalance to the images seen worldwide.

These understated, human, and layered short films leave a lasting impression. Rather than directly condemning the war in Gaza, they focus on how trauma is processed. Through their films, the creators give a voice to a resilient, oppressed people, subtly letting a glimmer of hope shine through.
