This hypnotic film brings together traditional and differing lifestyles in a warm love story where intimacy and security take center stage.

After the death of his father, Anand returns to his hometown to complete the ten-day mourning ritual. He realizes how far he is from his home in Mumbai when his family keeps asking when he will get married. His childhood friend Bayla faces the same questions. When the two reunite, an intimate bond begins to grow between them.

This poetic film patiently tells the story of a forbidden love. The rounded frames are filled with visually striking images, warm colors, and stunning landscapes. Nothing is left out; the complex emotions and traditional rituals are given the attention they deserve, with no distracting music. Cactus Pears is a stylish film for connoisseurs.
