Antonella Sudasassi

Antonella Sudasassi was born in San Jose. She studied audiovisual production at the University of Costa Rica. Her debut film El despertar de las hormigas was shown at over 65 film festivals and won 15 international jury awards. Her debut represented Costa Rica at the Academy Awards. Characteristic of her films are stories told from a female perspective, with a specific focus on the female experience of sexuality at all ages.
