Since October 7, 2023, the Israel-Palestine conflict has been in the global spotlight. This film shows that the conflict did not begin on that date, but has been going on for decades.

Masafer Yatta is the name of a group of twenty Palestinian villages in the West Bank. Israel has claimed the area as a military training ground. Settlers, with the help of the army, force families to leave their homes and establish new settlements. Basel Adra, a young lawyer, along with Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham, captured the illegal actions of the Israeli military on film.

‘No Other Land’ may well be the most important documentary of our time. The film starkly and while avoiding sensationalism, exposes how Israel has stripped Palestinians of their human rights over the past decades. The emotional impact is profound, at times it feels like a horror film, but the focus on friendship brings hope. The documentary premiered at the Berlin Film Festival last year, where it won both the Audience Award and Best Documentary Award.
