Beirut Al Lika tells the story of an impossible encounter between two young students separated by the war in Beirut in 1977, and follows both their behavior during the twenty-four hours their attempt at communication lasts.

Zeina and Haidar met in college, but lost track of each other due to the division of the city during the Lebanese civil war. When telephone connections are restored between the east and west sides of Beirut, they try to see each other one last time before Zeina emigrates to the US.
