Baby deeply resonates with a story about survival, connection, and identity in a ruthless world. It is a beautiful tribute to São Paulo and the people fighting to survive there.

In São Paulo, 18-year-old Wellington (Baby) is released from juvenile detention. His mother no longer lives at her old address and is missing; he must findout how to survive in the hostile streets of the city. In a porn theater, he meets 42-year-old Ronaldo, a sex worker and drug dealer. A sexual relationship develops, which simultaneously carries elements of a father-son dynamic.

The film is set in the underworld of São Paulo, where the characters are portrayed without judgment, in all their humanity,. The complex relationship between Baby and the older Ronaldo is central, yet the tender aspect of their bond remains intact. Baby's search for his family is marked by many wordless, yet warm scenes. Raw, emotional, and cinematographically creative.
