Mo Harawe

Mo Harawe, born and raised in Mogadishu, emigrated to Austria in 2009. There he taught himself the basics of film making before starting to study for a degree in Germany. Beginning with the short films ‘Life on the Horn’ (2020), an official selection of the Locarno Film Festival, and ‘Will My Parents Come to See Me’ (2022), which premiered in Berlin, ‘The Village Next To Paradise’ marks his feature film debut.
