Luis Ortega
director
Luis Ortega, born in 1980 in Buenos Aires, is a director and screenwriter. His first feature film, Caja negra, was made in 2002 while he was still studying at the Universidad del Cine de Buenos Aires. Monobloc followed in 2004. In 2015, he achieved significant success with the TV series Historia de un clan. His 2018 film Ángel was selected for ‘Un Certain Regard’ at the Cannes Film Festival. His most recent film, El Jockey (2024), was in competition at the Venice Film Festival.
