Pyre’ was filmed entirely on location in the stunning Himalayan mountains. With a touching storyline and a hint of humor, the film makes you feel as if you are living in the mountains, facing life's challenges alongside the main characters. 

As Padam and Tulsi approach old age, they are in danger of being left behind in their remote village in the Himalayas, while the other residents move to the city. The are offered some hope when they get a letter from their estranged son Hariya. The couple is longing for the long-awaited reunion, but they can’t wait too long. 

'Pyre' tells the touching story of two people who, in their old age, find comfort in their routines and love for each other. The humor in the dialogues makes it easy to relate to the carefully drawn characters. The vivid, on-location cinematography captures the beauty and unpredictability of nature, temporarily leading you into another reality. This film effortlessly evokes both genuine laughter and tears from its audience.
