HLM Pussy

The three best friends, Amina, Djeneba, and Zined, post a video on social media exposing the identity of an attacker. But unexpectedly, this puts a huge strain on their friendship. Standing up for yourself and your friends can have complex consequences in a world where sexual violence, social differences, and cultural identity all play a significant role. 

HLM Pussy holds up a mirror to young people but it also involves adults. Nuance may not yet be a priority for the teenagers, but important themes such as sexuality and racism are nonetheless addressed. Nora El Hourch’s debut film is a dynamic, impressive, and brilliantly acted indictment of women's sexual oppression and racism in general.
