Na een bijzondere ontmoeting verlaat Adam, een vereenzaamde scenarioschrijver, zijn Londens appartement en keert hij terug naar zijn ouderlijk huis waar zijn ouders 30 jaar geleden stierven. Terwijl hij in het reine probeert te komen met zichzelf, begint hij een romantische relatie met de enige andere bewoner van zijn appartementsblok, zijn bovenbuurman Harry.
